About The Parent Space
The Parent Space brings people together to explore the ways we, as adults, support children and young people experiencing anxiety.
Drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), we'll explore how anxiety finds its way into everyday moments, the different shapes it can take, and how we might move alongside children as they find their own paths through worry, uncertainty and fear. Through music and drumming, we'll explore these patterns and responses in creative ways, using rhythm, listening and connection to bring them to life.
Just as every rhythm has its own beat, every child has their own way of expressing themselves and finding their feet.
Through conversation, reflection, music and drumming, we'll explore how we might walk alongside children as they navigate moments of anxiety, tuning into their individual rhythms and nurturing the seeds of confidence as they take root, in their own way and at their own pace.
There'll be space to reflect privately, listen, observe, experiment and connect with others, in whatever ways feel comfortable.
You might leave with a new perspective, an idea to explore at home, or simply something that stays with you beyond the day.
Who is it for?
The Parent Space is designed for parents and carers of children and young people. Professionals and anyone working with children and young people are also welcome.
No previous experience of CBT, music or drumming is needed.
